Vacant Church In West Charlotte Catches Fire


CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Firefighters have brought a fire under control after a vacant church in west Charlotte went up in flames on Thursday.

Around 30 firefighters with the Charlotte Fire Department responded to the fire on Old Dowd Road around 10 a.m. ( right outside the Charlotte Douglas International Airport).

Fire officials say it took around an hour to get the fire under control and no injuries have been reported.

The fire is still under investigation.
