AM Headlines:

  • Near Record-Breaking Highs Today
  • Weekend Cold Front Drops Temps into the low 60s Sunday
  • Better Rain Chances Next Week (Yay!)

Discussion:

A boundary will approach the area today before lifting north as a warm front. Temps will warm near record highs today into the mid-70s (record 75 set back in 1998) Severe drought has returned the region for the first time since 2019, and the first time for Charlotte since 2015. Sunny and dry through Saturday with temps in the 70s. A cold front slide through Saturday into Sunday, cooling temps to the mid-60s Sunday. Another front brings isolated shower chances Monday. Temps will tumble into the mid-50s mid-week with a stronger front bringing much-needed soaking rain to the region Wednesday. As of now looking like 1-3″ of rainfall will be possible.
