CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg detectives have opened a homicide investigation after a man was shot and killed in west Charlotte early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a call for service regarding an unresponsive man lying on the sidewalk on Forestbrook Drive at 2:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers found 33-year-old Jamontres Alexander dead at the scene with a gunshot wound.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
